Design for Change

In October of 2011, I was in Ahmedabad waiting to begin my life after college, full of energy, and wanting to do something meaningful. One night, I sent out over 20 job applications out of frustration.

I heard back from only one and it changed the course of my life.

Design for Change / Riverside School and everybody that I worked with for these three years helped me in my design education, more specifically in the skill of observation and response.

Design for Change is a global movement of children using design as a tool to solve problems in their community. It also advocates use of design thinking in schools as a way to create a more student centered learning environment and give more opportunities and responsibilities to the children to become empathetic citizens.
