Cumbia from Colombia

Cumbia is one of the oldest music forms in Colombia.
It is fusion of the mysticism and storytelling of the indigenous, the tribal beats of the Africans (brought as slaves by the Spanish) and the poetry of the Spanish.

It is said that people used to meet every evening to dance, to tell stories, flirt and share their culture and this gave birth to cumbia.

Although I love all the cumbia I have heard till now, these two are my favourites so far:

Reina de Cumbias

El Pescador
About the fishermen of Colombia and their art of fishing
