Curd / Yogurt

Making curd is easy but it can easily go wrong too.

There are two important things:

  1. The temperature of the milk
  2. The amount of curd added


  1. Boil the milk you want to curdle.
  2. Let it cool a little bit (more than warm, but not too hot)
  3. For 1 litre of milk, add 1 tablespoon of curd.
  4. Cover the container and keep it in a warm place. If its too cold outside, you can wrap the container in a cloth or keep it in the sun during the day.
  5. The curd should be ready in about 5-6 hours.
