Señor Martin and the Carambolo tree

Señor Martin lives about 40 minutes south of the Palomino road, in the middle of a forest, which once used to be a huge river. Since many years, the river has dried and only sand and stones remain. Señor Martin lives alone in his house with four dogs who protect his house and his Carambolo tree when he is away to meet someone, to fetch water from the river or collecting wood or food in the forest.
While walking with Chema, we stopped at Señor Martin’s house to catch a breath. He offered us Carambolos, as much as we could eat and store. After sharing some stories with him, we continued climbing up to Chema’s land.
